Marius Müller

Curriculum Vitae

Marius Müller is a doctoral researcher at the Faculty of Management, Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Cologne. He conducts research on sustainable mobility under the supervision of Professor Wolfgang Ketter.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Economics from the University of Bielefeld and a Master of Science in Economics from the University of Copenhagen. During his master’s studies, he worked as a research assistant at the Copenhagen Business School.

He was awarded a doctoral scholarship in the Key Research Initiative „Sustainable Smart Energy & Mobility” by the Cologne Graduate School in Management, Economics and Social Sciences. He began his doctoral studies in October 2025.

His research focuses on analysing the impact of sustainable and smart mobility initiatives on behavioural patterns and substitution shifts across public transportation, electrified individual mobility, and micromobility. His methodology draws on econometrics and causal inference, complemented by machine learning.
