Frederik Milkau

Frederik Milkau is a Scientific Software Developer at the Faculty of Management, Economics, and Social Sciences at the University of Cologne, where develops simulation software, decision support systems and infrastructure solutions in the domains of Smart Sustainable Energy Markets and Sustainable Mobility.

Frederik holds a degree in computer science from the Eberhard Karls University Tübingen, which he completed in 2016. After working at a small software development company in Tübingen, he joined Professor Wolfgang Ketter’s chair at the University of Cologne in June 2019.

Frederik is primarily involved with the development of PowerTAC, an open-source research platform that simulates electrical energy markets where third-party agents are able to act as brokers between simulated entities by offering energy tariffs and satisfying the related demand through interactions with power producers of different magnitudes.
