Curriculum Vitae

Dennis Bakalis is a doctoral researcher at the Faculty of Management, Economics, and Social Sciences at the University of Cologne, where he conducts research on the integration of renewable energy sources and the role of flexibility in electricity grids under the supervision of Professor Wolfgang Ketter.

Dennis holds a B.Sc. in Social Sciences and a M.Sc. in Economics from the University of Cologne. Following his master's degree, he joined the Institut der deutschen Wirtschaft as a researcher, focusing on contemporary issues in energy economics and digitalization.

Dennis was awarded a doctoral scholarship in the Key Research Initiative Sustainable Smart Energy & Mobility from the Cologne Graduate School in Economics, Management and Social Sciences, and started his doctoral studies in November 2024.
