On February 4th, 2019, Univ-Prof. Dr. Felix Höffler, Director of EWI, passed away after serious ilness. We have lost an outstanding economist, a great collegue and mentor as well as a unique human being. To honor his memory, the EWI brought the Felix Höffler Memorial Lecture into being. Within this framework, once a year an internationally acclaimed economist is invited to EWI for several days, to engage in scientific discourse with our doctoral researchers and to give a lecture on an energy economic topc. The first Felix Höffler Memorial Lecture will take place after the EWI Energietagung on September 25th in the Fritz Thyssen Stiftung.
