Updates regarding Covid-19

The pandemic will drastically change teaching for the upcoming semester

Dear students,

In light of recent developments and announcements pertaining to COVID-19 and its impact on teaching, we would like to provide some clarity regarding planned lecturing activity of our Chair in the upcoming weeks (and potentially months).

All lectures, workshops and seminars offered by our Chair (see here: https://www.is3.uni-koeln.de/de/teaching/courses/) will be taught remotely via Zoom (https://zoom.us) webinar sessions and/or video conferences until further notice. They will take place during the same time slots as originally announced on KLIPS. This explicitly means online lecturing will start prior to the 20th of April.

Prior to each online teaching session we will issue links and log-in credentials which you can use to log into the respective Zoom sessions. Please ensure a stable internet connection throughout the session. Despite the remote nature of this format we will attempt to make lecturing as interactive as possible and will make use of features such as in-App chats that Zoom provides. However, given the short time for getting our teaching online, small things are expected to go wrong – especially during the early phases of this University-wide experiment. Please bear with us! As usual, all lecture material will be shared via ILIAS (other used channels will be announced contingent on the specific course).

We look forward to the new semester.

Stay healthy,

The Department of Information Systems for Sustainable Society (IS3)
